Every year since 2018 I've participated in Ride for a Reason, which raises money for Oakland and Alameda public schools (including Skyline High School where my child goes to school and Encinal Middle and High School which is less than a mile from my office). On 26 April I will ride from Oakland to the Sacramento State Capitol - 109 miles! - because I believe in public schools and building communities through bike riding.
